Genie AI | ChatApp for School Students

FutureCaptains needed an AI-powered assistant—similar to ChatGPT—to support users within their Learning Resource Management (LRM) platform. The goal was to help learners quickly access study materials, ask questions, get guidance, and navigate the platform more efficiently. I designed and developed GenieAI, the platform’s integrated conversational assistant. I began by analyzing user needs and identifying where learners experienced friction in the dashboard workflow, such as difficulty finding topics, slow navigation, and lack of quick help tools. I created the complete UI/UX for GenieAI in Figma, designing an intuitive conversational interface aligned with the brand’s updated guidelines. This included panel layouts, message bubbles, response sections, quick-action shortcuts, and reusable components built on the Bootstrap 5.x design system. Once the design was finalized, I developed the frontend using HTML, CSS, and jQuery, ensuring the component integrated smoothly into the LRM dashboard. For advanced UI states and dynamic behavior, I used ChatGPT to assist in generating and optimizing complex interactive components, resulting in faster and cleaner development. GenieAI now provides learners with quick answers, easier access to learning content, and a more interactive, guided experience—helping improve usability across the LRM system.
